For the sake of the occassion

What do I know about love?

It strengthens and it maims, both at the same time.
Drives you on and pulls you back.
It is both happiness and despair.
The more I try to understand it, the less enlightened I feel.
To feel it is to know it, yeah, to feel it in that heartbeat and your entire being is washed over by its knowledge. But as the wave subsides, only the lingering essence remains, gnawing at your consciousness, urging you to repair and regain.
But how can you combat something that is...formless? You won't even know if it is there.

What do i know about love?
It is capable of many a great deed,even many great sins.
It is the subject matter of Art. Poets dream about it. Philosophers debate it. Yet, like any other emotion, it is primal and natural- common, if I dare say.

Love. Everybody knows what love is. Every person walking on the street will tell you something about it. But you won't always get the same answer.
That's all I know about love.
